Arjuna (Terminalia Arjuna) extracts have been widely used in Ayurvedic herb. The bark of the tree has been used for several centuries for treating cardiovascular ailments. It has a host of other therapeutic benefits including asthma, hypertension and kidney stones.
Arjuna, a deciduous riparian tree native to India, can grow up to a height of 27 meters. The tree is also found in Myanmar and Sri Lanka.
Reasons to Use Arjuna
Arjuna can be used as an adjuvant in treatment of ischemic heart diseases. It helps deal with high levels of triglycerides in the blood or Hypertriglyceridemia.
It is useful for treating mild to moderate hypertension. Arjuna is also effective as a preventive medicine, especially for those at risk for Ischemic Heart Disease
